on District 3450 Polio Eradication Fund Raising Campaign Activities Eradication of Polio is the duty of every Rotarian. Since the beginning of the PolioPlus campaign, Rotarians took a leadership role in fund-raising, social mobilization, advocacy, volunteer missions, and strategic planning with governments and international and local NGOs. Rotary's global goal of 80 Million US dollars this year will complete the final lap of eradicating Polio by our centennial year 2005. Eradication of polio means global saving of 1.5 Billion dollars per year. But should we fail our mission by 2005, every extra year will cost an extra 100 Million. District 3450 has committed to a per capita of US$ 67 this year, together with extra fundraising activities and solicitation of major donors. Any report on today's achievement does not mean anything, as it will be outdated by tomorrow. I therefore asked the host club of what I considered to be one of the best ever polio eradication fund-raising activities, Bayview Sunshine, to present a report on their achievement. This one day fund-raising program has been reported in the Rotary News Basket, and will appear in Rotary World, the PEFC monthly bulletin and the January 2003 issue of the Regional Rotarian Magazine.
