On a most gloomy and cold
and rainy Sunday morning, the streets in Tsim Sha
Tsui were jammed by an enthusiastic crowd of road
runners coming in for the annual Marathon feat.
You could barely spot the Rotarians among the
crowd. And visiting Rotarians from Taiwan too -
from Sister Rotary Club of Taipei Chungshan and
their son club Rotary Club of Taipei Yang-Te.
This run was first suggested by Secretary Perry
Yu to Taipei Chungshan at their visit to Hong Kong in
October 2004. A warm-up to this marathon run by
both clubs actually took place at the Rotary
District 3520 Centennial Road Race in
January 2005. We certainly look forward to more
running with more Rotarians joining in next year,
if not sooner.

Rotary Taipei Yang-Te has three entrants -
Rotarians Albert Chang, Dens Hsu, and President
Foster Chang - and certainly the largest
cheerleading team led by IPP Win Li and PE
Lancelot Khan.

Secretary Perry Yu is lost from his fellow City
Northwest Hong Kong teammates PE David Ting and
S.M. Li but finds Diana Mei-Hua of Rotary Taipei
Chungshan, and takes a photo at the start zone
before President Foster and Albert of Taipei
Yang-Te rush through with the crowd.

It's your marathon!

Thanks to www.Marathon-Photos.com, the
herculean efforts of the Rotarians at this early
morning road race are captured for the late
risers. (Sorry, they've missed
David, Dens, and Golden's pictures.) But who's
the black knight keeping President Rich of Taipei
Chungshan company all along?

After all, a cheerful Dodo Cheng is in our
company too!... And now we know who the black
knight is... PP Dennis is running without the
official number tag.

President Rich is all ready to run again while
the half-marathoners Golden and Albert are all
smiles as they dash through the finish.

What a feat to accomplish on this cold February
morning! Congratulations to all runners and thank
you to all Rotarians for cheering and support!
