Club of City Northwest Hong Kong, Dr. Lew
Young, Manager, Mai Po Nature Reserve, WWF Hong
Kong, was selected as one of 10
recipients of the District 3450 Rotary
Centennial Service Award for Professional
Excellence
(RCSAPE) announced in a press conference on 6 May
2005. Dr. Young's professional and community
service work at the Mai Po Nature Reserve has
focused on maintaining Mai Po's ecological value
and its potential to be used as a site for
promoting education in wetland conservation. Dr.
Young has also been active in working on wetland
conservation in cooperation with other regional
wetland sites that are important for migratory
waterbirds.
