February 2005 (Upon
conclusion of Rotary Centennial Project)
Dear Perry and CNW
Rotarians,
Thank you
and the rest of the team in the preparation of
the Centennial Project Report. I bow to
your expedient and swift work pace.
It has been a great relief
that the project has now been completed in a good
ending. A lot of effort, hard work and grey hairs
have been donated by many Rotarians in Area 5 and
a special thank you must go to our Executive
Secretary Irene Leung for her endurance and
perseverance with all of us. Rotary is a great
organization and hope you can proudly say that
you are a Rotarian.
PP Dr. James Lau JP being
the Chairman of the working group (hardware) and
now taking up by PP So Kin Shing both have been
putting a great deal of effort in getting the
work done despite their own busy working schedule
at their workplace. Thank you for PP Chan Tak
Ling for agreeing to start the project in the
beginning and reminding us to attend the
meetings. VP Francis Chan finally got the
registration and M of A of the Company in good
order, many thanks. Thank you to Community
Service Director Rtn. Lei Kai Ping and PP Johnny
Fan for their professional advises. Thank you to
PP Dennis Wong for your involvement.
This project will be a
masterpiece in the history of District 3450 Area
5 as it draws the 5 clubs very close together.
Let's enjoy and celebrate
the rest of the Centennial year.
Yours in Rotary,
John Ling
President 2004-2005
