Dear Incoming Presidents:
District would like to organize an Interact Advisor Workshop on July 10, 9:30 a.m. - 1:00 p.m. at Rotary Information Center. Would appreciate if you could urge your Interact Club Advisor to attend this workshop. If your club does not have an interact club and is interested in forming one. You are welcome to send a representative to attend this workshop to understand more in advance how Interact is functioned both in District Level and Club Level.
Here is the Agenda for the workshop:
- Introduction of District Interact Committee Member 2004-5
- Briefing on the 2 last District Interact projects for 2003-2004 - Unlike our Rotary International and Rotary Club Leaders change-over in July every year, our Interact Clubs in District 3450 will follow their school year term. That means - the new interact club leaders will only be elected in month of September every year upon their return of school. In this case, when you take up your role as Interact Advisor from your club in month of July, you will have 3 months' time to work together with the existing Interact Leaders before the next year's leaders being elected. For this Interact Year, we will have the following events:
(1) July 16-19 - International Understanding Trip to Malaysia (Ipoh and KL)
(2) Aug 8 - Interact Bazaar
- Introduction of election/formation of 40th Joint Interact Council (JIC)
- Joint Interact Council's role
- Your involvement/role on election of 40th Joint Interact council
- Discussion on District Interact Projects 2004-5
- Introduction of District other youth projects which we have to encourage our interactors to participate and support - RYLA, Youth Exchange, Youth Forum
- Open discussion/exchange ideas for Interact Advisor's role
