Re: 2004 Run with Your Heart – 31 December 2004
We are invited by the Hong Kong Elite Athlete Association (HKEAA) to participate the above charity event to be held on 31st December 2004 at the Hong Kong Sports Institute, Shatin.
The HKEAA established in 1996, is a non-profit organization with the aim to gather the talents and efforts of elite athletes to serve the community. The membership base is the former and existing scholarship athletes of the Hong Kong Sports Institute as well as Hong Kong representatives at Asian Games or higher level of competitions. The current executive committee members are Hung Chung Yam, Chairman (Cycling), Ngai Man Lin, Vice Chairman (Rowing), Chan Lim Chee, Hon. Secretary (Badminton), Che Kuk Hung (Tenpin Bowling), Chan Tan Lui (Table Tennis), Wong Tsan (Fencing), Lee Lai Shan (Windsurfing), Cheng Ka Ho (Wushu), Chau Wai Sheung (Athletics), Ma Wing Sze (Badminton), and Chiang Yun Keun (Rowing).
The 6th Run with Your Heart is a 12-hour charity relay from midday to midnight on New Year Eve. The event is more than simply a run, it is also a platform for us to show our love and care for each other, and at the same time adopt a health living lifestyle. All proceeds raised from this event goes to The Regeneration Society and Elite Athlete Charitable Trust.
Supporting bodies to this sporty charity event include Commercial Radio, Ming Pao, Roadshow, Cable TV, Hong Kong Performing Guild and Social Welfare Department etc. In addition to extend the social networking with other voluntary service organization, it is indeed an unique opportunity for us to celebrate the arrival of Rotary Centennial 2005 at the countdown party immediately after the run. Our participation to the “2004 Run with Your Heart” will greatly generate publicity of Rotary in the community.
The district would like to delegate one Rotary Centennial team to take part in this meaningful event. Please study the attached details and return the registration before 3rd December, 2004.
