Being in the District Governor's delegation to make the official visits was indeed a most valuable learning experience. I got to know the Club's Board members, especially the President Elects who will work closely with me in the coming months. It was a good opportunity to understand the Club's strength and weakness as well. Last Friday, 23rd November marked the completion date of such visits.

What follows will be a strong focus on the preparation of the few district events that I am responsible, namely, the District Leadership Plan seminar, which will take place on 23rd February, 2002. Bayview Sunshine will be the Host club, with PP Dr. P C Fong as the Organizing Chairman. From 2002, all Assistant Governors, District Secretaries, and Committee Chairmen will need to participate in this training; it is mandatory.

Closely follows the DLP is the President Elects Training Seminar on 9th March, organized by Chairman PP Bob Shroeder and hosted by Queensway. And the District Assembly will take place on 20th April, under the organization of CP Patrick Herbet, hosted by Wanchai.

It is indeed very exciting to work with this group of experienced and enthusiastic past and future presidents who do have a vision of bringing the District to a different height and dimension. No doubt they will be more equipped to achieve for their clubs membership growth and retention, serve better with realistic planning in their projects and support the Rotary Foundation.
