Rotary Club of Hong Kong South

About Us

A friendly, Cosmopolitan Club.

Founded in 1973 by Charter President Dennis Ting, the Rotary Club of Hong Kong South is the only Rotary Club to meet on the south side of Hong Kong Island.

An English speaking club with 40 members from 8 countries, our cosmopolitan membership has over the years developed a wonderful club fellowship for which we are renowned.

We are also well known for our splendid meeting place with Deep Water Bay vistas and outstanding cuisine proved by the Hong Kong Golf Club.

Above all we are known for our community service which we do in Hong Kong, principally on the south side of the island, and overseas.

Our Meetings

We meet at 12:30 p.m. every Thursday for fellowship,  followed by lunch (except the 3rd Thursday of every month when we meet at 7:30 p.m. for a dinner meeting).  Meetings usually feature speakers on a variety of interesting and topical subjects as listed in our Events Calendar.  Lunch meetings finish at 2:00 p.m.

How to visit us

Visiting Rotarians and their guests are most welcome to join us at our meetings.  Visitors in town may wish to combine a make up at our club with a visit to the scenic south side of the island, Deep Water Bay and Repulse Bay, on the way to Stanley.

The best ways to come are

By car.    The HK Golf Club is one mile east of the Aberdeen Tunnel.  Turn left after the tunnel,   go past the HK Country Club, and follow Deep Water Bay Road along the coast.  The entrance is on your left just before Deep Water Bay Beach.  There is plenty of free parking.

By taxi.  We are only a 10 minute ride from Central.

By bus.  #260 #262 #6X & #6A from Central, Admiralty and Wanchai.
