Report on Spring Dinner for

Ebenezer Care & Attention Home

The Rotarians of Hongkong South treated the elderly blind residents of Ebenezer Care & Attention Home to a Spring Dinner in the evening of 12 February 1999. The 33 residents enjoyed a sumptuous meal served by staff and Rotarians including President Nick Pirie, V.P. Gary Rasmussen, Rtns Nico and Caroline Kooij, Simon Leung and Deborah Cheng.

30 out of the 33 residents were above the age of 70 and they seemed to have relished the specially ordered food (mainly boneless/soft delicacies), the games, and the company of of Rotarians. Each one of them also received a laaaaisee (red packet) of $50 handed to them by the Rotarians personally. Everyone found the evening thoroughly enjoyable and gratifying.

The Ebenezer School & Home for the Visually Impaired would like to convey very cordial thanks to President Nick Pirie for the kind offer, to V.P. Gary Rasmussen for organizing this programme, and the Rotarians and Rotariannes for their participation.
