Speaker :

IPP David Loie was our speaker, and his topic was his GSE team visit of Tenesse.   IPP David Loie first introduced a few points about GSE and his team of 4 ladies.

The GSE  team  travelled  to  Tenesse  visiting various vocational places including   universities,  food  processing  plant,  House  of  Representatives and House of Senate.    IPP David  and  his team witnessed the US style of democracy when they debated if there is a need to correct their voting details.

More importantly according to IPP David, their experience staying at the six families were more valuable.  Most of these families have traveled very little or none outside USA.  One of the host families' Rotarians is a retired fighter pilot trainer.  He had a long discussion with IPP David on the spy plane accident and collision at Hainan Island.

Few interesting facts:

The GSE team air tickets are sponsored by RI.

Host families support most of the lodging and assist in some of the land travel.

All of the ladies have not experienced any trouble during the trip.

We thanked our speaker and everyone was then invited to drink the customary toast to the Rotary International and with that the meeting ended.

Club 888 prize donation:

Dear fellow Rotarians: We are in the final weeks of prize donation.  We are in need of about 20 good prizes.  Also, Rtn. Patricio and PP Nick have contributed greatly to our prize list.  I would like to thank all our prize "beggers".  Among all our effective prize "beggers", they have planned, organized and delegated the prize begging activities.
