Acting
President PE Angela welcomed visiting Rotarians and guests. PP Paul
was Fellowship Chairman and Rtn Jack Bain was Sergeant-at-Arms. Rtn
Francesco announced that we would have Spring Dinner on 15 April, Horse
Racing Night on 5th May, Centennial Bell Ball and District Assembly on 8th
May. The detailed information will be sent to members as soon as
possible. Rtn
David is going to Xichang this Sunday. A hospital there is willing to help
us with the eye surgery service. Today’s
speaker was Mrs. Miranda Ng from The Warehouse Teenage Club in Aberdeen.
The club was established by Professor Frank White in 1992 and moved to the
former Aberdeen Police Station in 1995. The club aims to assist young
people to broaden their horizons, develop their creativity and increase
their knowledge. They
have five Essential Learning Experiences 1.
Moral and Civic Education 2.
Intellectual Development 3.
Community Service 4.
Physical and Aesthetic Development The
Warehouse Teenage Club offers a variety of activities such as dancing,
drama, fitness, skateboard, band show, wall painting, gardening,
photography, pottery etc. The club has about 700 members and is not
only for young people, anyone can be a member.
