Lunch Meeting of 25th August 05

 

Our Fellowship Chairman today was PP Paul and our Sergeant-at-Arms was PE Thomas. Our Sergeant-at-Arms managed to collect $610 between the raffle and fines.

President Tobias announced that the 75th Golf Tournament would be held on 9th of September at Hong Kong Golf Club at Fanling and the Wine Tasting organized by PP Gaston would be held on 2nd of November at Kellet Island, Yacht Club. For the Wine Tasting at Kellet Island, the price is only HK$50 in addition to a voucher issued in the same amount for spending within the Clubhouse. Dinner is, however, not included. And President Tobias suggested that members of the Club could go together at 30th September for the Opera - Turandot. Interested members please contact Lillian.

Today we have the EGM; our Treasurer Rtn Jim reported to us that our Club account have some surplus, our Member's General Fund have a surplus of HK$183,331.31, Community Service Fund have HK$547,400.19, which we need to reserve HK$300,000 for the donation to Leprosy Patient Project. And Leprosy Project Fund have raised HK$86,220.00 from donation. And we will donate HK$150,000 more to the Leprosy Patient's Project for this year but subject to their report and request. Community Service Chairman, PE Thomas reported to us that the income of Community Service fund is mainly come from Club 888 fund raising activity, and we will continue to support different community service organization this year and we will support a scholarship for HK Sea School, also we will continue the English Dialogue Session in Ap Lei Chau Kaifong School and hope to extend this project to one more primary school.

President Tobias reported to us that our Club would responsible to organize the District Sports Day this year. For the TELA changed the format of lottery license, the Club 888 will change to only draw in once this year. President Tobias has prepared the report and PowerPoint presentation, but for the limited of time, he will present it on the next meeting.
