Our Fellowship Chairman today was PE Thomas and our Sergeant-at-Arms was Rtn Francesco. Our Sergeant-at-Arms managed to collect $1050 between the raffle and fines. President Tobias announced that the Wine Tasting organized by PP Gaston would be held on 2nd of November at Kellet Island, Yacht Club. For the Wine Tasting at Kellet Island, the price is only HK$50 in addition to a voucher issued in the same amount for spending within the Clubhouse. Dinner is, however, not included. While our District Rotary Foundation Seminar will be held on Hotel Miramar on 5th November, the Photo competition and exhibition held by club of Northeast will have launching ceremony on 6th October at Exchange Square. And the District Karaoke Competition will be held on 30th October at Miramar Hotel. Interested members please contact Lillian. Rtn David have go to Xi Cheng with Rtn Tony Leung and just back, he reported to us the updated situation of the Centre. And President Tobias will be circulate the menu to members for choosing, each member will have chance to choose for one meeting for all members. Today, we have a birthday boy, he is our Honrary Secretary Danny and we have sang a birthday song and present a gift to him. The speaker of today was Ms. Andrea Gutwirth and her topic was "Hong Kong's First Loving Home - SoulTalk's Loving Home". After our Programme Chairman, Rtn John introduced our guest speaker, Ms. Gutwirth started her talk. She is a professional Relationship Counselor and Family Mediator, and she started to help other women through their relationship crisis at 15 years ago. She established the SoulTalk, which is a charitable foundation and is a support network for women in a relationship crisis via Hotline, website/email for 24 hours a day. SoulTalk can offer a friendly experienced counselor who will listen, share and understand the feelings and situation without judgmental, which is complete confidentiality and anonymity. As the counseling service for the women in English Speaking is not enough in Hong Kong, the work of SoulTalk is so important. To expand their service, Andrea will establish a warm loving home for the purpose of providing women of all nationalities a home away from home to temporarily live-in and / or visit for resting / recovering purposes, counseling / learning or during any difficult time in life. The home is located in New Territory with the free charge of rent, but still need founding to run the center.
