A message from PP Bill Benter explaining the New Membership Development Programme

Dear Fellow Rotarians,

As your new Membership Development Director, I have been asked by President Ian to develop a plan for locating new candidates for membership in the club. I would in turn ask all of you for your enthusiastic cooperation with this new effort.

The scheme I have decided upon could be called the “Targeted Classification Approach”. Each week, we will choose a specific profession or Rotary classification such as “Banker” or “Engineer” and we will encourage Rotarians to invite a member of that profession to the next week’s meeting.

In order to further encourage participation, each guest from the designated profession will have his lunch paid for out of a special fund which has been established for this purpose. The fact that a free lunch is being offered will hopefully provide that little bit of extra incentive which encourages Rotarians to extend the invitation that could change someone’s life.
