Charity Dinner at Tung Lok Hin Restaurant Waterford Wedgwood, Dom Perignon and Tung Lok Hin Restaurant jointly organized the Charity Dinner at Tung Lok Hin Restaurant on 29 September 2001. We were delighted to invite Ms. Sophia Kao and Ms. Gigi Leung as the officiating guests of the event. Also, Ms Amanda Lee and Ms Janet Ma joined the dinner too. Dr Maurice Leung represented the Foundation to deliver speech and to present souvenirs to sponsors and supporters. Mrs Vivien Hui, Mrs Rebecca Yung, Ms Hilary Tsui, Ms Anna Yau and Ms Christie Wo, the Chairman and Members of the Fundraising Committee, supported the event by their participation. We would like to take this opportunity to thank Waterford Wedgwood, Dom Perignon and Tung Lok Hin Restaurant for choosing us as the beneficiary of this fundraising event. Moreover, we would also like to extend our thanks to Ms Liu Cheng Mui and Liu Tung Mui, Waterford Wedgwood and Dom Perignon for their generous donations for charity auction. Over $120,000 were raised through this event. Lastly, we would like to thank all the generous guests for their donations.
Heart-to-Heart Charity Walk 2001 2nd Heart-to-Heart Charity Walk was held at the Morning Trail at the Peak on 30 April 2001. The opening ceremony of the event took place at the Open Plaza of the Peak Galleria, Dr. S.C. Leung, Honoary Adviser, Mr Duncan Pescod, Chairman, Mr. Eason Chan, Mr. Nicholas Tse, Ms Dennise Ho and Ms Hilary Tsui, the new member of our Fundraising Committee were invited to be our officiating guests. We would like to thank them for their kind support by participating in the event behind their busy schedule. This year, more than 600 people joined the Walk and we had received over $430,000. In order to encourage the participation of company and organization, prizes were given out to the unit with the largest amount of funds raised and with the highest number of participants. Precision Moulds Limited and the Hong Kong Ling Liang Church kindergarten are the winners of these two prizes respectively. The smooth running of this event was dependent on the enthusiastic support of the following parties: American Express, Hip Hing Construction Company Ltd, Composers and Authors Society of Hong Kong, Adler Jewellery Ltd, Ms Louisa Chau, Apex Translation Communications Ltd, Kwooon Chung Bus Holdings Ltd, Peak Galleria, Arts Sales (Hong Kong) Ltd, Vitasoy International Holdings Ltd, Shui Sum Florist and St. John Ambulance. We would also like to extend our most grateful thanks to the participants and sponsors for their kind and generous support. Thank you again and see you next year!
In this Easter, Children's Heart Foundation had the chocolate Easter Egg Charity Sale again. Each egg was sold at $98. With the generous support of our members and the public, 518 eggs were sold and $47,752 was raised through the sale. We took this opportunity to thank Aberdeen Marina Club and their club members for their kind and continuous support by selling and ordering the eggs.
