13th March Macau Jockey Club was a very good day for the Macau Cup. The event was supported by many Rotarians Macau and Hong Kong and the news of the event brought visitors from Australia too. The afternoon started with the Joint meeting of RC Macau, Central, Guia and Macau Islands with our special guest District Governor Ada Cheong.

A great buffet Lunch was followed by presentation by AD David Ho of the Mafoo Prize for the best presented horse. RC Central arranged an Auction of Photographic artworks which together with the donations raised a significant sum for the Polio Plus Challenge.
We were very pleased with the press coverage of the event with reports in many Daily Papers in Macau and Hong Kong plus details were advertised on the Jetfoils between Hong Kong and Macau. The event has made a significant contribution to alleviate Polio in the world and raise awareness of the work of the Rotary with the public.
We hope to be able to repeat the event and bring more people from the District to enjoy this event next year. My thanks to PP Fatima Ferriera, and PP Nelson Wong and the Presidents of our clubs in Macau who gave their support for the event.
