Club
/ District Administration Software Now Available
21st November 2003
As recently announced, Rotary International has purchased the
Rotarian rights to the Clubmate software product. The software,
called the RI Club Administration Software (RI-CAS) and the
RI District Administration Software (RI-DAS), is now available
in versions RI-CAS 1.0 (formerly Clubmate 6.0) and RI-DAS 1.0
(formerly District 3000). Rotarians can now download either
software package at no cost from the Member Access area of the
RI Website at www.rotary.org.
The essential components of the software, including the "Getting
Started Guide", are being translated into French, German,
Italian, Japanese, Korean, Portuguese, Spanish, and Swedish
and will be available for download from the Members Access area
of the language links on the RI Web site in the near future.
Rotarians may also order a CD-ROM copy of the software for US$19
by simply calling 847-866-4600 or by visiting the online catalog
at http://shop.rotary.org/catalog/.
The order numbers are 008-CASR and 009-DASR. The charge for
the CD-ROM version of the software covers its production and
shipping costs only.
Please note: The new RI software is solely distributed and supported
by Rotary International, and cannot be obtained from Clubmate
Software Ltd.
Currently used by more than 3,000 Rotary clubs, RI-CAS offers
club officers a useful tool for conducting club and district
business more efficiently. The software's functions enable club
secretaries to track meetings and attendance, create custom
mailing lists, record member history, make nametags, and perform
other labor-intensive tasks more quickly. Club treasurers will
find software useful for billing, completing semi-annual reports,
mailing invoices, and creating membership directories with photos.
In addition, district governors can use RI-DAS to track members
and officers for their entire district.
Looking ahead, RI will further integrate RI-CAS with the Member
Access section on the RI Website to provide club data upload
and download capabilities for those clubs that wish to take
advantage of the option. This will improve software compatibility
by simplifying the data transfer process with Rotary's membership,
financial, and Rotary Foundation databases.
Online support forums have been established in the Member Access
section of the Web site http://riweb.rotaryintl.org/
allowing Rotarians to easily share information, tips, and advice
on using the software. At this forum Rotarians can also requests
help from one another and from those "Super Users"
Rotarians who are knowledgeable in the program. In addition,
software users may e-mail clubadmin.support@rotaryintl.org
or districtadmin.support@rotaryintl.org
for technical support of the club or district versions respectively.
