Dear Fellow Rotarians,

On behalf of the District Conference Organizing Committee, I would like to invite all of you to attend the 46th Annual Conference of District 3450 which will be held on 22-23 April 2006 at Regal Airport Hotel. The official opening will be at 2.00 p.m. on 22 April 2006 follow by Governor’s Banquet in the same evening.

RI President Carl-Wilhelm Stenhammar has chosen “Service Above Self” as the theme of this Rotary year. To fulfill this Rotary’s historical ideals, we would be using the concept of Service Above Self as a solid base for this year Conference.

You will see from the attached Program Summary that we are working on some special and innovative ideas. Here are some of the examples:

1. A special Conference Logo showing Service Above Self;
2. Service organization would be invited to introduce their organizations at the House of Friendship;
3. There will be two “Rotary in Action” sessions whereby Rotarians and their families would participate at different service projects;
4. Women in Rotary would be featured;
5. Our future leaders would be interviewed and shared their future vision.

We are also delighted to announce that President Carl-Wilhelm has invited his Aide Past RI Director Francisco Creo and his wife Lupita to represent him and Monica at our Conference. Many of you might have met Past RI Director Francisco last year when President Carl-Wilhelm visited our District. It would truly be a great experience to meet with such a senior Rotary leader.

Together we will make this Conference an interactive, fun and memorable occasion

The Conference will be held from 22 – 23 April 2006 at the Regal Airport Hotel.

Accommodation
Rooms at the Regal Airport Hotel are charged at HK$1,450 net per night (single/double) and includes breakfast.

Dress Code
Business attire or Rotary jackets is recommended for the Opening Ceremony. Smart causal for the rest of the time.

Transportation
Shuttle bus serve will be available free of charge for all participants from Central and Tsimshatsui.
Complimentary airport express tickets (same day return) and car parking ticket for Conference full registration participants. First come first serve basis.
