Applicants must:
- Hold a recognized undergraduate degree,
- Have proficiency in a second language (including the language of the proposed university of study),
- Possess excellent leadership skills,
- Demonstrate a commitment to peace and international understanding through service, academic or professional achievements,
- Be a permanent resident of Hong Kong or Macau or be a citizen of Mongolia, and
- Have several years of postgraduate working experience.
Individuals who expect to complete their undergraduate degrees in 2007 need not apply.
The application forms can be downloaded from this web site, and completed application forms together with the requisite copies of documents should be received by the Rotary Information Centre, 14th Floor, Capital Commercial Building, 26 Leighton Road, Causeway Bay, Hong Kong. no later than 12th June 2006.’
The
following are ineligible for Rotary World Peace Scholarships:
- Rotarians,
Honorary Rotarians
- employees
of a club, district, or other Rotary entity or of
Rotary International
- spouses,
lineal descendants (child or grandchild by blood or
legal adoption), spouses of lineal descendants, or
ancestors (parent or grandparent by blood) of any
living person in the categories a or b above; former
Rotarians and their relatives as described above within
36 months of resignation.
